BWWM Books: BWWM Dark Fantasy Series by Jamila Jasper

bwwm books anaconda jamila jasperThe BWWM Dark Fantasy  series contains THREE main books (as of Nov. 2017) and one BONUS book. I wrote this series of BWWM books for African American readers who enjoyed MMFM romance novels by top romance authors but wanted to see representation for BLACK WOMEN!

I'll be continuing this series at the end of the year, but for now, you can enjoy all THREE stories PLUS a bonus story. This series is unlike anything I've ever written before.

Read the description below:

A BWWM Dark Fantasy: Book #1

Three rich men fulfilling her every dark and forbidden desire.

That was the last thing Madison expected when she left America to report on the royal wedding of the Kingdom of Saltwick.

Meeting the brother of the groom, Winthrop “Win” Bidlake is nothing like what she expected.

One look and he wants to possess her… not just own her but share her with two other smoking hot princes.

It's hard to resist a man from the royal family, serving in the Royal Air Force.

Especially when Madison finds out that his code name “ANACONDA” is more than just a code name…

A ménage romance not for the faint-hearted. This interracial dark fantasy is filled with romps between the sheets that will leave you dripping with anticipation. This book is Part 1 of a 3 part serial.

Romance Novel Excerpts: BWWM Dark Fantasy Series (ANACONDA) by Jamila Jasper

Winthrop “Win” Bidlake

Codename: ANACONDA

Madison Walton tucked her notebook into her new Michael Kors purse which suddenly felt like a burlap sack when she entered the palace. She couldn't believe that she was here, in an actual palace. One of the few monarchies left in existence continued to capture the public’s attention. And in the age of information, the entire world was glued to the tiny kingdom and the royal wedding set to take place in two days.

Charles Bidlake, heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Saltwick, was set to be married in two days and Madison had the luck of being assigned to the story. It had all happened by chance really. Her boss at The Global Post had selected her for this story after her senior editor, Mikey Potter, had gotten into trouble for missing a deadline.

As the fresh meat in the office, and the only African American woman, Madison expected to get passed over. Again.

But this time, she's been lucky. Standing to her left was Prince Charles’ younger brother, Winthrop Bidlake. He would never take the throne but he'd served in the country’s army for all of his adult life. He was nothing like his older brother. And as he led her through the palace, Madison began to notice more and more differences each second.

“So this,” Winthrop continued, “Is the butler and maid’s quarters.”

“Prince Winthrop,” Madison asked, hoping to tease a bit more intrigue out of the repetitive tour, “Were these quarters formerly slave quarters?”

He ignored her argumentative tone and smirked.

“No,” He replied.

So much for intrigue.

He continued, “Slavery was never legal in our Kingdom. And please, call me Win.”

He paused and looked at Madison, looking her up and down with a look she couldn't quite place.

She looked down bashfully.

“I was told to address you using your formal title.”

Winthrop grinned, “And I'm telling you to call me Win. Are you really going to disobey an order?”

Now, Madison couldn't tell if he was joking or not. But she felt like the polite thing to do would be to just call the prince what he wished to be called.

“All right Win,” Madison replied, “Is there anything in this palace you think would be of particular interest to Americans?”

Perhaps the more direct approach would lead to a better story. Madison’s probes for some juicy gossip had all been averted. Win was either very good at keeping secrets or Royal life was far less interesting than she had presumed.

Win kept walking and she followed him throughout the East wing of the palace. He seemed to be deep in thought, allowing Madison more time to get her bearings.

She looked over at the Prince and her heart fluttered. While she'd done everything to keep things professional with him, it was hard to deny how exhilarating the entire experience was.

Winthrop Bidlake was an utter heartthrob. He was well over six-feet tall with the Bidlake family traits that had made the royal family such a subject of international attention. His wheat blonde hair shone golden in the light that filtered in through the floor to ceiling windows. In his semi-formal apparel, his biceps still managed to bulge through. His military conditioning had clearly left his body in peak condition.

And he had a smile to die for. His smirk, as mischievous as it was had a flirtatious edge to it that Madison couldn't resist.

Too bad he wasn't flirting with her -- now that would be her ego talking if she assumed he was. Win could have anyone in the world that he wanted. Any blonde haired Swedish heiress or Germanic princess from another distant kingdom.

His flirtatious smile had to be a figment of Madison’s active imagination. An imagination she would have to keep in check for the sake of professionalism.

The tour had gone on for a while. Madison realized that Win was no longer interested in giving her the entire boring history of his family’s winter palace. They weren't talking about her story at all. Win had turned the tables and was now entirely focused on her.

He asked Madison where she studied journalism. Columbia. How long she'd worked with her company. Six months. If she had a boyfriend. Not anymore. If she was interested in marriage. Hell no.

It took Madison a while to realize how Win had turned the tables. While she knew nothing about him, he'd managed to unravel her entire history, splaying it before him so he could understand her.

“I hope you enjoyed the tour,” he remarked when the tour had finally ended.

“Uhhh, yes,” Madison replied, unsure of how to respond given that the second half of the tour had felt more like a first date -- minus the part where she was in control.

“Then I should introduce you to some of the other guests.”

“Oh?”

Win smirked, “Perhaps you will find a juicier story by speaking with some of them.”

Madison felt her cheeks turn hot. She had not meant to give Win the impression that she found his tour boring.

Seeing her awkward hesitation, Win rested his palm on her shoulder.

“Don't worry Madison. I find royal history boring too.”

The British lilt in his accent made her heart flutter. No response came to mind. Win’s hand resting on her shoulder had sent surges of electricity through her body. When he moved his hand away, the spot where he touched her still burned hot.

Was she going crazy? Had that been interest or was that just him being polite. He was a prince after all. Still, Madison didn't remember hosting require such physical proximity.

“The palace is lovely,” she offered weakly

Win took a step closer to her and replied, “And so are you.”

Now that was unmistakably flirting. But what did he mean by it, if anything. Madison’s mouth hung open as she struggled for words to say. She had never felt so out of control when dealing with anything.

I'm supposed to be the journalist. Madison wondered to herself. So why do I feel so wrapped around his finger already?

Winthrop took her to the library in the West Wing where a few of the other early guests were relaxing. The room possessed a bizarre mixture of stiffness and cozy allure. Leather couches, soft Persian rugs and the smell of brandy warmed the room. Stiff stuffed deer and hunting trophies gave the room a more serious air.

A fireplace glowed at the edge of the room, crackling loudly as a maid in a black uniform stoked the fire with a red hot poker. Win brought Madison to the couches circled around the fireplace.

“Boys, I have someone to introduce to you,” Win began.

The two men that Win had brought her to looked up, uninterested until they realized that the “someone” was Madison.

“Is she from the village?” The blond one asked, a devious smirk immediately inching across his face.

Win glowered at him.

“No. She’s a journalist here to report on the royal wedding. Her name is Madison.”

He pointed to each of the men.

“Madison, this is Diego. And this is Hans.”

Diego was even more imposing than Win was, even whilst seated. His massive arms gave her the impression he could squeeze the life out of a bear with his bare hands. Madison knew who he was, but up close, the prince looked even more imposing. Diego Mendoza hailed from the Monarchy of Paracito, a small sovereign nation off the coast of Spain.

Hans was less imposing than both men, but still quite muscular and tall. What he didn’t have in bulk, he made for in his face. He had the most beautiful face that Madison had ever seen with angular cheekbones and cerulean eyes. Hans  Wittelsbach hailed from the Province of Rhineburg, a small self-governed area of Northern Germany.

Hans stood up and reached for Madison’s hand. Reluctantly, she reached out to shake his hand. Hans squeezed tightly and held on long after Madison wanted to let go.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

His German accent and his deep voice made the simple greeting… sexy. Madison looked away shyly. Diego stood up and took her hand, pressing it to his lips.

“Agreed. It’s a pleasure.”

As he kissed her hand, Madison noticed that both Diego’s hands and lips were radiating warmth. His skin was a gentle tanned color compared to both Hans and Win’s. His hair was thick and brown with the strong scent of cloves and spicy cinnamon. Madison felt her heart jump as he kissed her.

She couldn’t understand what was going on here, but she had a feeling that Win hadn’t introduced her to these three men to give her a good scoop for her report. The men sat down and kept staring at Madison, almost like they were analyzing her and testing her. (But for what?)

Even Win had his eyes on her. Madison remembered only a few moments before he’d told her that she was “lovely” — a more posh compliment than she’d ever received.

Madison wondered if their stares had anything to do with just how “lovely” they found her.

“Why don’t you sit down for a moment?” Hans offered.

The hunger in his voice was difficult for him to conceal. Diego cast him a glare, but Win smiled, holding onto Madison’s arm.

“I need to show my guest to her quarters. I’m sure she’ll want to rest. With the wedding in a few days, she’ll be busy.”

Hans snickered at the last part of Win’s statement, causing Diego to elbow him hard. (And not very subtly.)

Win walked her away from the library and down the hall.

“What was that about?” Madison asked.

Win’s face turned bright red, “They’re military buddies of mine…”

“I know,” Madison interrupted, “Diego Mendoza and Hans Wittelsbach.”

“Tabloids?”

Madison shook her head, “I’ve done my research. I know everything there is to know about the few remaining monarchies.”

Win chuckled, “Not everything.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

He didn’t answer. After a few minutes, Madison pressed him again.

“Why did you introduce me to them? Will they help me build a story about this palace? Is there a diplomatic relationship between their kingdoms and Saltwick?”

Win stopped in front of a large wooden door.

“You ask a lot of questions Madison.”

Madison folded her arms, “I am here as a journalist.”

Win grinned, “Right. Well, journalist or not, you’re young and you’re in a European palace. At the very least you can try to enjoy yourself.”

“Are you going to show me my room?”

Madison was growing exhausted from Win’s riddles. He nodded and pushed open the door he had stopped in front of.

“Your quarters are here.”

He took a step inside. Madison gasped when she entered the room. She didn’t mean to sound gauche but her temporary living arrangements were five times nicer than her apartment at home. She’d worked five years to afford her urban one bedroom apartment and within a moment, Win’s guest quarters outshone it.

Win took her to the bathroom with the walk-in shower, the bedroom outfitted with a four-poster canopy bed, the small kitchen with the stocked fridge, kettle, tea and fresh coffee beans.

“This is gorgeous. And just for me?”

“Just for you.”

“What about the other journalists?”

Win grinned, “They’re staying elsewhere.”

“How are you housing forty other journalists in quarters as big as these?”

Win took a step closer to her and tucked a strand of Madison’s hair behind her ear.

“We aren’t. These quarters are just for you.”

BWWM Books Excerpts: Out Of Bondage

Chapter 1

Italian Spring possessed an energy unlike any other. Not even New England could compare to the gentle chill, the cool breeze that wafted through the land and the eruptions of green and coiled pink flowers wherever she went. Her wedding day had arrived quickly. Her family had left Boston and flown to Italy to sit alongside Nico’s friends, and the few family members he trusted to keep his location and the news of his wedding safe.

Domenico, his reclusive uncle, and Edoardo made up most of Nico’s wedding party. And of course, Edoardo was joined by Martina, who had invited a few of her friends from the modeling world. Daniella joined Domenico, accompanied by her mother. Domenico was Nico’s best man and Eve’s sister was her maid of honor. Daniella stood as one of her bridesmaids along with Eve’s cousins and a couple second cousins who were particularly close to her family.

The church was hardly filled, but that was how Eve had envisioned things with Nico. They were destined to have a small and intimate wedding, a counterbalance to the feverish vibration of their relationship. Matteo was the ring-bearer and although he’d been practicing for weeks, all who had been involved in the planning secretly feared that Matteo would toss the ring onto the altar as if he were throwing away a piece of trash.

Light classical piano drifted through the wedding in anticipation of its start. Eve had yet to see Nico for the day. She’d been calling him her husband for months in advance, but actually being here on her wedding day still felt surreal. That morning, she’d woken up alone after a night of imbibing near-toxic levels of cranberry vodka cocktails. Thanks to Martina’s hangover cure, she was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the wedding, with an unusual sparkling glow. The dress she’d chosen with Daniella looked even better than she’d anticipated, and the makeup on her face was light enough to just accentuate her bold, beautiful African features.

Soon, Eve would hear the call to walk down the aisle. Accompanied by her father, Gerald Morgan, Eve would finally be led to her husband’s side. Eve and her father weren’t particularly close, but she knew this moment meant a lot to him. Gerald was from a generation where being close to your kids didn’t matter. What mattered was providing for them and giving them the opportunity to raise up right. And Eve knew that her father was proud of her: for her business, for her son and now for her marriage.

Her mother was in the front row of the audience, dressed to the nines. She had a church hat that threatened to hit everyone surrounding her in the face, and of course her hat was coordinated perfectly with her Chanel suit (a gift from Nico to his future mother-in-law) and the pair of designer heels she only brought out for special occasions.

The wedding march began. Eve felt her father’s comforting hand on her shoulder as he linked arms with her. The bridesmaids and maid of honor titillated around Eve, falling into line as she took her first steps out into the church. All eyes were glued to her, the celebrity for a day, as she walked to meet her husband. The veil draped over Eve’s head, obscuring her vision of the crowd, helping her to feel less nervous about the fact that they were all staring.

Petals from white roses fell before her feet as she walked in unity with the music towards the place where Nico stood. Nico’s black tuxedo draped over him perfectly. Eve could just make out the stunned look in his eyes as he saw her for the first time on her wedding day with the same excitement in his eyes from the day they’d first met. Through her veil, Eve detected a tear, streaming readily down Nico’s cheek. Her beauty could bring men to tears.

Nico wasn’t the only one. As Gerald Morgan gave his daughter away, Eve detected tears in his eyes too. Even her stoic, distant father couldn’t help but be moved by the ceremony that had yet to begin. As the ceremony continued, the words of the priest melded together in a mash of glorious praise, prayers and well wishes. Matteo delivered the ring without incident and when Eve finally heard the words, “You may kiss the bride”, it was like she had just woken up from a long dream.

The audience gazed at her and Nico. Her husband raised the veil over her head and looked into her eyes for the first time as her husband… Not just her boyfriend, not just her lover, but the man she had now committed to spend the rest of her life with. In that instance, her doubts felt like distant fuzzy memories. All she could think about was how right this all felt.

All she could do was lean in and allow Nico to grasp her waist and sweep her off her feet as he planted his lips against hers. Whether it was appropriate or not, Eve’s side of the church whooped and cheered. She was the first of her generation to get married and the fact that she had such a gilded wedding in Italy- of all places- made the Morgans a very excitable bunch.

Nico released her from his embrace and they stared into each others eyes like giddy teenagers waiting for the final words of the ceremony, followed by the priest’s dismissal. Eve could feel her heart racing furiously, begging for this part to be over so they could begin the celebration and  leave on the honeymoon that they’d been looking forward to since the day Nico had proposed to her.

Attention moved from the happy couple when the doors of the church burst open. Eve froze in place, looking outwards as all the heads in the church turned to look at what she saw. She cast a glance at her husband and saw that all the color had left his face.

A man walked into the church, a man who looked like Nico’s shadow self. They had all the same features except his were more haggard. His mouth was twisted up in cruelty and his eyes had embers of hatred burning just beneath the surface.

“Luca…” Nico whispered.

His twin brother’s name. But this was impossible. Luca was dead. He’d been killed years ago. Luca smiled as he watched the color rush from Nico’s face. He took sadistic pleasure from just the surprise he’d caused Nico. Luca hadn’t come alone.

He strode down the aisle, crushing the rose petals beneath his muddy boots with malice. Everyone in the church stood frozen. Luca was trailed by five men, each heavily armed. Edoardo cast a glance at Martina as they saw them. He hadn’t predicted this. He had eyes on the church for weeks, and he’d kept his finger on the pulse of all the whispers in Italy. If this sneak attack were coming, he should have been able to predict it easily.

“This is impossible,” He whispered into Martina’s ear.

She squeezed his arm tightly without saying a word. Eve’s parents and family looked to her for answers. Why were there men in a church — and this church of all places — armed with automatic weapons that looked better fit for combat than for a wedding. The guns followed Luca to the altar. He gave his brother a wink before he grabbed the microphone from the priest.

In troubled English, he began to speak, “Good morning… guests… I am here to inform you of a tragic mistake on the part of my brother… He planned to get married but he did not invite me to the wedding… What a mistake… A mistake that he shall pay for… Do not move, do not run or I will have my men slaughter each and every one of you.”

BWWM Books Excerpt: Stripped Bare

1 THE CALM BEFORE

Sugar stood at the bar, watching Trina and Tracy tear up the dance floor. She’d turned thirty-five in early April, Tracy had turned thirty five in early October. Now, a few days before Christmas, it was finally Trina’s turn to hit that milestone age of thirty-five. Sugar’s thirties had been pleasant so far.

At least they trumped her twenties in a lot of ways. There was more money, more confidence in herself and stronger friendships that didn’t risk getting torn apart by petty drama. She was secure and she felt like she was at an age where she no longer needed to have a boyfriend all the time to feel validated. That was one of the biggest difference’s between Sugar’s twenties and her thirties. Independence.

The music in the club blared; it was too loud for anyone to approach Sugar and she was happy about that. She was just here for her girls to celebrate a birthday, not to meet anybody.

Trina had found herself an attractive black guy — Jamaican, judging by the flag printed on his t-shirt — and she was swiveling her hips and dancing all up on him. That girl had a thing for Jamaican men that didn’t stop no matter how much heartbreak she’d been through. Tracy had found a much shorter guy to dance with, but Sugar could still see why Tracy was attracted to him. Tracy had a much different taste in men from Trina. Sugar had different tastes from both of them.

The guy Tracy had found was muscular enough and dressed to the nines in some obscenely expensive looking designer clothing. Tracy worked in fashion, so she had a special eye for men who knew how to dress. Trina had a special eye for Jamaican men — each one seemed to be a bigger heartbreaker than the last. Sugar thought that Trina could count herself lucky that none of them had knocked her up.

While many of Sugar’s coworkers thought her thirties should be for baby-making, Sugar couldn’t envision ever having a child. Her childhood had very few pleasant memories and Sugar had unshakable cynicism about the entire concept of “motherhood”.

“Amaretto Sour please?” Sugar called to the bartender.

The guy behind the bar was cute. He was more of Sugar’s type than any of the other fellas in the club. He was tall, with tanned skin and he looked like the kind of guy who was never supposed to be a bartender full time but ended up there anyways.

He’d probably come to the city with dreams of being an actor, a model or something. Most of the bartenders did. Most of them ended up waiting bars until their forties. The smart ones left the city before it was too late to go back to Oklahoma or wherever they’d come from. The bartender had those gorgeous olive green eyes and freshly cut brown hair. The way he smiled at Sugar as he took her order and made her drink almost made her forget that she’d sworn off men completely.

The bartender delivered her drink promptly and Sugar returned to watching Trina and Tracy move on the dance floor. Unlike them, Sugar wasn’t in the mood to dance. She hated being the center of attention in the club or the bar. She much preferred to drink and maybe strike up a good conversation with someone. Sugar had done plenty of partying and clubbing in her youth. Her friends looked so happy and carefree in a way Sugar knew she could never be.

There was so much Trina and Tracy didn’t know about Sugar and who she really was.

“Sugar” was a nickname that she’d chosen to avoid any connections to her past life. Sugar had been the name of a close friend who’d always cared for her when she needed it most. The name hearkened back to a girl who had been like a desperately needed big sister to her. In some ways, those days felt like another life.

Sugar wondered what secrets Trina and Tracy were hiding as they moved around the dance floor unfettered by any worries. Was everyone else like her? Did everyone else have some deep-seated sadness buried beneath the surface?

Sugar sipped her drink slowly and eyed the dance floor for a worthwhile bachelor to dance with. She’d sworn off men but at the very least she could look and have a little bit of a sample. If it had been another night, after a few more drinks, she might have leapt at the opportunity to flirt with the bartender all night long. Sugar was almost jealous of Trina and Tracy in some ways.

They were both far more outgoing than she was and definitely both were far more trusting of men. Sugar had been single for the six years they’d known her. On the other hand, Trina was a divorcée who had left her husband after discovering that he had a second family in Jamaica. Tracy was the type of girl who went through boyfriends on a two year cycle looking for “the one”.

So far, she’d been unsuccessful. Sugar had a cynical view on what the outcome of her quest would be. She didn’t think she’d ever find a guy who would be different from the terrible men she’d been exposed to in the past.

Trina was a short, thick, dark skinned woman with all the confidence a woman could ask for. She wore her hair in long waist-length dreadlocks that she’d been growing out ever since her divorce. Tracy was skinny as hell with a big ole booty. She had more ochre colored skin and a thick Southern accent that hadn’t toned down not even a little bit since she moved up north. Compared to them, Sugar almost felt plain.

At least that stopped her from being hit on tonight. She simply wasn’t in the mood to rebuke men’s advances. Plus, some men could be too pushy when they got liquor in them. Sugar just wanted to have fun with her girls.

Sugar continued to scan the bar looking for any guy that looked remotely interesting. She wasn’t one to make the first move but if she wanted to do something other than stand around all night, Sugar knew she would have to.

Sugar felt a hand rest on her shoulder. Then she heard a voice that caused all the hairs on the back of her neck to stand up.

“Samara.”

Hearing that name and that voice shook Sugar’s fight-or-flight mechanism awake. She turned around and came face to face with a man she hadn’t seen for six years. In those six years, he hadn’t changed, not even a little bit. His skin had gotten more wrinkled of course. But other than that, he looked almost identical to the day that they’d met.

He still made her skin crawl and his eyes still possessed a deadened look that chilled Sugar to the very bone.

As Sugar turned around, she saw “Sticky”. She’d been hiding from him for years, even changing her name from Samara to Sugar to avoid anybody connecting the two of them together. Sugar always feared that when Sticky found her, he’d kill her. Or worse.

“I don’t go by that name anymore,” Sugar said, trying her best to hold her voice steady.

Of course, Sticky just smiled. It was a wide smile that let her know he didn’t give a damn what she did or said, he was in control. Sugar was well used to seeing him look like this. She was terrified but she knew that she could find a way out this time. She wasn’t a little girl anymore. All she had to do was make sure she wasn’t alone with him.

“You look a lot older Samara,” He said, “But there are still men who would pay a pretty penny for a night with you.”

“Leave me alone. I’m here with friends and I swear to God I’ll scream if you try anything,” Sugar retorted.

Sticky just laughed, “Why so savage Samara? After all that I’ve given you in life, you’re still just an ungrateful little bitch.”

Sugar was visibly trembling. She considered just running and attempting to disappear into the crowd. But if Sticky could find her once, he could find her again. And if he had to chase her down, he’d be mad. Sugar had the scars to prove that getting Sticky mad was a bad idea.

“What the hell have you done for me? You ain’t done shit! I’m not afraid of you no more,” Sugar lied.

She could tell that Sticky didn’t buy it. Of course she was still afraid of him. She’d always be afraid of him, no matter where she went, no matter how many times she changed her name. If he wanted to find her, he’d find her. She was lucky that it had been six years since he’d wanted to get in touch.

“What kind of way is this to treat the man who took you in off the streets at fifteen?”

Sugar’s lower lip trembled. She bit down hard. Showing him weakness was a mistake.

None of her friends knew about that side of her life; neither did her employer. Sugar had the good fortune of getting a chance to reinvent herself and she knew that Sticky wouldn’t hesitate to ruin her life again if he wanted to. She prayed to God that he didn’t want to. Maybe there was a slim chance he’d just found her again to scare her. But she understood how Sticky operated.

Hearing him mention her past was as good as a threat to expose her.

“I ain’t that girl no more.”

Sticky chuckled, “I think you could be. You were always our best girl Samara… You had the fattest ass of any fifteen year old I’d ever met.”

Sugar felt bile rising in her throat. At fifteen years old, she’d been far too young to see anything that she’d experienced back then. Her daddy had been jailed on a trumped up drug charge when she was thirteen years old; he’d taken the fall for some “buddies” of his and he still wasn’t out. Her mama had turned to booze shortly after. By fifteen years old, her mama was homeless, unemployed and Sugar had to take care of her family. She’d been vulnerable. And Sticky had taken advantage of that vulnerability.

Just thinking about that time in her life terrified Sugar immensely. She’d killed that part of her, reinvented herself. Those times no longer existed. They might as well have never happened.

“Shut the hell up and leave me alone…” Sugar growled through gritted teeth.

She did a quick scan of the bar for either Trina or Tracy but none of them were there. They couldn’t step in and help her. Sugar wasn’t even sure she wanted them to. Sticky wouldn’t hesitate to reveal the fact that Sugar had been a stripper in the past. Sugar was stuck here until Sticky finally decided to leave her alone.

Sticky smiled, “Oh, I ain’t gonna leave you alone baby.”

“What do I have to say to get you to leave me alone?” Sugar begged, “I got money. I’ll give you money to leave me alone.”

Sugar wasn’t sure that a pimp — or whatever Sticky considered himself — really needed money but she was desperate and the last thing she wanted was to encourage Sticky to stick around.

Sugar at thirty-five was a very different person from Sugar at fifteen. She wouldn’t get swept up by tall tales and empty promises this time. Just looking at Sticky now, she felt utter disgust. He was an old man now, almost. When she was fifteen, he had been thirty. His age had made his tall tales seem like wisdom. Now all his age did was highlight to Sugar how much she’d been preyed upon before she was old enough to know better. Before she had options.

To everyone else, Sticky probably didn’t look as creepy. You had to know him the way Sugar did to feel your blood run cold the moment you saw him. Sticky cleaned up nice. He wore a nice blue button down shirt and jeans with a sports jacket. His shoes were expensive. He wore a Rolex on one wrist; even now Sugar couldn’t tell if it was a fake or not. He was clean shaven and in this outfit, all his tattoos were covered up.

Sugar was glad. On his right shoulder, he had the names of all the girls he'd “turned” to stripping. Her name was number four. Seeing “Samara” written there in cursive lettering had served as a constant reminder for those years that Sticky owned her. If she left his ward, it would be because he let her leave, not because she wanted to.

“I ain’t need your money,” He said.

“Then what is it? Because I’ve done everything in my power to leave you and everyone else behind.”

“Tsk tsk tsk,” He said, “You can never really leave me behind Samara.”

“You’re a psychopath Sticky…”

“Don’t get mouthy with me Samara. I’m sure I don’t need to remind you of what happens when you do that.”

He used his lower jaw to gesture to Sugar’s shoulder. In her halter dress, the scar was quite visible. She’d told her friends with was from falling on ice. But the truth of that scar was far far worse. Sticky had held her down, butt naked and dug his knife into her shoulder when she wouldn’t back down from “giving him lip” once. He’d wanted to mutilate Sugar forever, so he had. There was nothing she could do to ever get rid of the scar. Sugar had used it as a reminder every day that she would never go back to that world. Never.

“Just tell me what the hell you want from me,” She hissed.

“But that wouldn’t be fun now, would it? Why don’t we catch up…”

“I’m not telling you a damned thing about me. I’m not Samara anymore. That’s all you need to know.”

“Would you be tempted to listen if I told you there’s a way for you to get back in the business? I’ll forgive all the wrong you’ve done me. All the money you’ve stolen from me.”

“I haven’t stolen any money from you…”

Sticky chuckled, “Oh I think you have Samara. Running away at twenty-nine might have been brave but it was also stupid. You could’ve worked six more years. I’ve come to collect on your debts.”

This book is currently available on Amazon. The discounted price of 0.99 cents is guaranteed until February 1st 2016 only. Other than that, the novel will be available for $4.99.
