Dark BWWM Mafia Romance Books | Forbidden Pregnancy | Buffalo Mafia Mob Family #2

The Buffalo, New York Italian mob family opens with a wild start. Readers who enjoy Forced To Surrogate — The Amalfi Coast Brotherhood #1 — will recognize some of my favorite and familiar tropes for a dark bwwm mafia romance.

The first book in this series, Forbidden Surrogate, introduces us to the Taviani family with all the pain and excitement of a tequila shot. Bring out the Tito’s!

We meet Luigi, our first alpha hero, his scheming sister Angela, and Delphine, the black female lead who is going through a mid-life crisis and more lost than she ever thought she would be. Despite having a stable career, Delphine is a victim of the modern dating market and trifling “best friends”.

Her story with Luigi sets us up perfectly for this book.

If you haven’t read that story yet, I highly recommend that you check it out, because it’s incredibly hot and starts off with the same tropes as this book — Forbidden Pregnancy, which is Michael and Myra’s story. Michael is Luigi’s first cousin, a more mature man in his early forties. You will find little Easter Eggs throughout the first book to give you clues about Michael’s character.

Michael has sandy brown hair, a broad muscular back… and hasn’t been in love since he fell for his younger sister’s tutor twelve years ago.

If you love second chance romance stories, get SAT and buckled in for this roller coaster of a story.

Are you ready for another dark Italian mafia romance book with these tropes? Here’s what you can look forward to.

  • second chance romance

  • split pov

  • dark and taboo tropes

  • pregnancy

  • forced proximity

  • enemies to lovers

  • relationship contracts

  • forbidden relationships

Michael Corsini, the eldest son of the underboss has always had the job of protecting his younger sister, Cosima. When that all goes horribly wrong and Cosima tricks him into a night of passion with a highly-educated black teacher named Myra, he has to question everything he’s taught and rearrange his loyalties while fighting to keep her safe.

This is the second book in a five book series, and you can definitely read this book without reading any of the others. It might help to read the last three books in the Rebel Barbarians Motorcycle Club Series so that you catch all the “Easter Eggs” and possibly even the first book Forbidden Surrogate.

When Myra, the black female lead, meets Michael for the first time, she finds him brutally chauvinistic and unkind to his younger sister, Cosima. This all changes when he gifts her a signed first edition copy of a Toni Morrison book and Myra gives him a chance.

I love Myra, and I think you will enjoy the way she pushes against Michael’s stubborn nature throughout the book. This is another book in the series with a plus-sized female lead.

I can’t wait for Myra and Michael’s story to officially become available on July 29th 2025. Until then, I have a chapter sample to share with you below.

WARNING - This chapter may be subject to some changes before the final edition. I just want to share an early release chapter for avid readers searching for a preview before hitting the preorder button.

If you would prefer ZERO spoilers before ordering the book…

Book Two, Forbidden Pregnancy — Myra & Michael’s Book

Prologue

Myra

TWELVE YEARS AGO

I’m the oldest virgin I know.

Twenty-six years old, and I spent so much time working towards the honor roll, and scholarships, that I don’t think I’ve ever been alone in the same room as a man. I’ve reached the age where I can’t avoid how embarrassing it is that I don’t have the same life experiences as everyone else I know. I never had that “teenage love story”. The chubby black girl with glasses, bad skin, absolutely no athletic abilities or swag and the sex appeal of an old avocado didn’t exactly turn me into Miss Popular.

The past few weeks have been the closest I’ve come to spending any meaningful amount of time with a man my age, and even then, he’s a few years older than me, and definitely not interested. Michael Corsini went to my high school. He was a senior when I was a freshman and he dated seven girls his senior year before he went off to Syracuse to play football. I didn’t keep track of his Syracuse football career, but he still maintains his incredible physique, making it almost impossible to focus on tutoring his younger sister while he’s in the room.

If I had known this job was working for one of Buffalo’s more infamous mob families… I probably would have still accepted. Tuition costs are through the roof and the hourly rate offered by the family on the tutoring website was insane. $150/hour for tutoring a kid in middle school is basically getting paid to have fun. I should have known there was a catch – having a hot but terrifying supervisor looming over us.

“Cosima, focus,” her brother growls. I sit up straighter at the sound of his voice. He makes me nervous, especially because he stares at me constantly, like he’s waiting for me to screw up royally. I guess they want to make sure they’re getting their money’s worth.

“This shit is boring.”
“You say that word again, I’ll smack your back molars out.”

My back tightens. I’ve had to get used to the strange culture in this household, which is downright outrageous, honestly. My first day here, I had to stop him from actually smacking her across the face, but clearly, he’s been taught that it’s an effective form of discipline. He let me know that he was only stopping as a “favor” to me, and assured me his father would fully endorse his behavior.

I’m just glad he doesn’t do more than stare and lecture Cosima, because I doubt I would have anything in common with someone who believes in something as brutal and unnecessary as slapping a little girl over French lessons.

Cosima has been more difficult to deal with than usual today, but I don’t think slapping her or threatening her will work.

“I know it’s hard,” I tell her. “But imagine how much fun you’re going to have if you go to Paris one day.”

“Paris sucks,” Cosima says haughtily. “Italy is a much better country.”

Her eyes are icy and cold, a much more terrifying facial feature worn on her brother’s masculine face. He has such a handsome face, honestly. I shouldn’t think about it but… it’s true. Good thing I have this up close and personal experience to know for a fact he’s a complete asshole. I’m not missing anything with the pretty boys.

“If you speak to Myra like that again, I’ll shave your head.”

“There’s really no need to threaten her,” I say calmly to him. My words seem to affect him for a moment, but Cosima senses she can push his buttons and she revels in it. Like more smart kids, she constantly seeks stimulation, even if that stimulation is sometimes pissing people off.

“Fuck this,” Cosima says. “And fuck the French.”

Michael loses it. “That’s it. Go to dad’s office and wait for me.
Cosima glares at him defiantly. “I hate you.”

“I don’t give a shit you little brat. Go to dad’s office, or I’ll spank you right here in front of your beloved tutor.”

Cosima gives me a slightly sheepish look, approaching some variation of humility now that Michael pulls out all the stops. Everyday I understand a little bit more why they made me sign an NDA.

“I don’t want to leave,” she says in a small voice, mustering up as much defiance as her little body will allow her in the face of her enormous, physically terrifying brother fresh off his college football days and actively involved in the local mob.

“I don’t care what you want,” Michael growls. “You’ve made my day miserable enough. If I don’t spank you, I’ll have dad do it and trust me, it will hurt a lot more if he does it.”

Cosima slides out of the chair and walks out of the room with her head hanging. This man boils my blood.

“I still had twenty minutes left in my lesson.”

“I’ll make sure he doesn’t dock your pay,” Michael responds with his typical unfeeling tone.

“This isn’t about my pay. It’s about Cosima’s feelings.”

“What about them?” he asks, leaning back petulantly and putting his feet up on Cosima’s chair, which was across from mine so we could work on the comprehension passage.

“You’re incredibly cruel.”

“She’s a brat and she’s lucky I’m here and not my father,” he says. “Why do you care how I treat her? You’re still getting money.”

“Life isn’t just about money.”

I doubt this dumb Italian jock will respond to my annoyingly self-righteous tone, but I can’t help wanting to teach him how to be a better person, or at least introducing him to the concept for seemingly the first time. He keeps gazing at me with that entitled, imperious stare on my face.

He knows he can treat anyone however he wants because of his family connections. Even CC isn’t safe from him, and she’s his sister. I know Cosima has a twin, but nobody explained where she is, and I know she doesn’t live here even if Cosima talks about her all the time.

“What else is life about then?” Michael asks me as he leans forward, giving me the most infuriatingly smug smile. “Pussy?”

I can’t believe he just said that to me. Michael stuns me into silence, which I don’t expect, just like I don’t expect him to say that word to me. I can’t just take this sitting down. He went off on CC for her behavior, so how can I just allow this to slide.

“What did you just say to me?”

“It’s just a word, Myra. We’re both adults. It’s not like I said it in front of CC.”

“How dare you sit here and try to micromanage CC’s language and behavior when you say whatever you want. If she had a consistent role model, maybe you wouldn’t have so much trouble with her.”

Michael remains silent for a beat long enough for me to mistakenly think my words got through to him. I’m sorely mistaken. He grins broadly and even if all I know is that I’ve made Michael happy, I know enough to want something different. It’s not my job to please this man at all… I’m here to teach CC, not to be some rich boy’s entertainment.

“I think if you had some consistent dick in your life, you wouldn’t be so uptight towards me.”

“How dare you talk to me like that.”

I don’t raise my voice. What purpose would yelling serve when Michael Corsini already stands a full head taller than me? My lips quiver as I struggle to hold my body steady in front of him. Standing up to the relatively all-powerful son of my employer isn’t easy but… I can’t let him talk to both of us like this without saying a word.

“How would you prefer I talk to you? Would you like me to call you ‘ma’am’?” He asks in a mocking tone.

“My demands for respect aren’t a laughing matter.”

Shame heats up the back of my neck and ears. I stand up and slide my papers into the green folder I brought for the afternoon lesson and stack up the stickers and supplies into my backpack so I can leave. Michael stands up and puts his hand on my stack of papers like he’s either going to help or stop me from leaving.

I don’t want him doing either. I swat his hand away instinctively and feel the stinging in my palm when I hit his flesh. I gasp and look up at him as terror courses through me. I just smacked my employer’s son knowing about his temper and the potential anyone involved with a mafia family might have for violence.

Our eyes meet and a cruel smirk curves along the corners of Michael’s mouth. How have I pleased him now and when can I stop?

“I’m leaving.”

“Go ahead,” he says. “When you’re back next week, wear something low-cut.”

“You’re such a pig.”

“Do you think I’m watching these lessons for CC’s own good?” He says, leaning in with sheer physical intimidation. “I like what I see, Myra. Very much.”

Michael Corsini touches my cheek just long enough for me to freeze in place. His hand falls away from my face and he walks out of the tutoring room, leaving me in shock.

I have to quit this job.
